Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Team Leader to lead a team of software engineers in the development of innovative solutions for our Comfort and Driving Assistance products, specifically within the BRAIN TOK6 project. This role involves technical leadership, project management, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers (5-8 individuals), providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Oversee the complete software development lifecycle for embedded systems, from requirements definition and architecture design to implementation, testing, and deployment, within the BRAIN TOK6 project scope.
• Ensure the team's adherence to Valeo's software development processes, quality standards, and safety regulations (e.g., ISO 26262).
• Define and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring on-time and within-budget project completion.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, system architects, project managers, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration and product success.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote best practices in software engineering.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
• Act as a key technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding software aspects of the BRAIN TOK6 project.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging innovation and continuous learning.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in embedded software development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or team lead role.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
• In-depth understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software architectures.
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and diagnostics (UDS).
• Familiarity with automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) and functional safety concepts.
• Proven experience with software configuration management tools (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a technical team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to software development.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international, and multicultural environment.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.
