【このポジションはどんな仕事？】

本ポジションは、自動運転システムにおけるソフトウェアアーキテクチャの設計責任者（Senior SW Architect）として、システム全体の構造・設計思想を定義する“技術の最上流ポジション”です。

単なる開発や機能単位の責任ではなく、

「どういう構造でシステムを作るべきか」
「性能・安全・拡張性をどう担保するか」
「グローバルで再利用可能な設計になっているか」

を決める、プロダクトの土台を作る役割です。

【Job Overview】

Our group is celebrating its 100th anniversary and continues to lead the industry, including developing the world’s first Level 3 autonomous driving system. To achieve further advancement, we are entering a new stage of challenge as a unified group.

We are seeking a Function Owner for the autonomous driving product, which supports the next generation of mobility.

In this role, you will lead the system design based on data from multiple sensors such as cameras, radar, and ultrasonic sensors. Collaborating with software and validation teams, you will ensure product quality and functional completeness throughout the entire V-model development process.

This is not just a design role you will be responsible for critical technical decisions and hold a key position that determines the overall success of the product.

【Division and Products】

Valeo Japan is composed of four divisions:

　１）Power Division ： Designs, develops, and manufactures products and solutions related to thermal management, comfort, and electric powertrains to accelerate electrification.

　２）Brain Division ： Designs, develops, and manufactures products and solutions to accelerate ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and reimagine interior experiences.

　３）Light Division ： Designs, develops, and manufactures products and solutions for lighting everywhere.

　４）Valeo Service Division ： Provides after-sales services for all products from Divisions 1-3.

This position is within the BRAIN Division.

【About the Position】

This position is a Senior Software Architect role within an autonomous driving system, responsible for defining the overall system architecture and design philosophy.

It is a top-level technical role that goes beyond feature ownership or development execution.

You will be responsible for determining:

How the system should be architected
How to ensure performance, safety, and scalability
How to design a globally reusable and sustainable architecture

In this role, you will establish the technical foundation of the product and drive architectural decisions that impact the entire system.

【Key Responsibilities】◎ Software Architecture Design (Static & Dynamic)

• Define and design the overall software architecture
• Specify component structure, constraints, and memory allocation
• Design dynamic behavior (boot sequence, scheduling, resource management)

◎ System Optimization & Performance Design

• Design and validate CPU load, memory usage, and real-time performance
• Optimize overall system performance

◎ Architecture Standards & Governance

• Define and maintain architecture guidelines and design standards
• Ensure adoption across development teams and provide technical guidance

◎ Technical Review & Quality Assurance

• Conduct software architecture reviews
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Function Owners and development teams
• Ensure compliance with functional safety requirements

◎ Cross-functional Collaboration & Customer Interaction

• Lead technical discussions with customers (performance, design, constraints)
• Collaborate with global development teams
• Report KPIs (CPU load, RAM usage, response time, etc.)
