Our Martos plant is one of the biggest sites within our Visibility Systems Business Group in charge of developing and manufacturing Lighting Products and Electronics. From the latest adaptive lighting technologies to intuitive interior lighting solutions or stylish and design-centric external lighting, Valeo constantly innovates to improve comfort and safety for drivers and passengers alike.
We are looking for a Project Buyer to lead purchasing activities within our project teams. You will be responsible for the full sourcing lifecycle—from defining strategies and running RFQs/Auctions to managing supplier risk and ensuring QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets are met.
Your responsibilities:

Project Management & Coordination: Represents the Purchasing function within the project team, attending all milestone meetings and leading purchasing activities from the sourcing phase through to Start of Production (SOP) and project closure.

Sourcing Strategy & RFQ Management: Defines the sourcing plan in collaboration with Project Managers. Executes the RFQ process (Request for Quotation), manages auctions, and selects suppliers based on compliance, capability, and bundling opportunities.

Supplier Risk & Compliance: Identifies critical parts and assesses supplier risks (financial, technical, capacity). Develops mitigation plans and contingency strategies to ensure project security.

Design & Quality Alignment: Coordinates Supplier Design Reviews and validation processes to ensure suppliers fully understand requirements. Works to capture improvement proposals and obtain acceptance of technical specifications.

Financial Performance & Productivity: Pilots the project purchasing index and leads productivity action plans to reach cost targets. Ensures accurate forecasting and manages the transfer of productivity actions to serial production.

System & Process Integrity: Ensures all sourcing decisions, contracts, and supplier documentation are accurately recorded in the purchasing systems (e.g., SAP, Pu Ma) and ensures timely sign-offs with stakeholders.
Desired skills and experience:

Industrial Degree/Master.

3 years experience in engineering, automotive knowledge desirable

Knowledge and passion for the automotive industry

Abstraction capacity, lateral and holistic thinking

Negotiation English level is mandatory, other languages added value
