Equipment Reprocessor - GI Lab (UPMC Presbyterian)

UPMC Presbyterian is looking to hire a Full-Time Equipment Reprocessor to support the Gastrointestinal Lab.

Schedule:

• (4) 10-hour shifts, includes weekends
• 7 am to 5:30 pm
• 1-2 late days per week

Purpose:

• Cares for, handles and reprocesses all fiber optic endoscopy equipment and accessories used in the GI Laboratory.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate accurate cleaning and disinfection procedures for all endoscopes and accessories.

• Adhere to universal infection control guidelines when cleaning and disinfecting scopes and accessories.

• Contribute to an efficient work and team environment.

• Assume responsibility for own development.

• Maintain unit standards of quality control and safety.

• Demonstrate proper handling techniques for scopes and accessories.

• Contribute to maintaining a neat, clean and safe environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous employment or training as an Endoscopy Technician or other medical specialty such as Central Service Technician preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
