Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Support: Conduct all aspects of radiation therapy physics, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Equipment Management: Perform calibration, commissioning, and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality assurance programs for equipment and treatment delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with NRC and state regulations, as well as ACRO and AAPM guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the physics team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Facility and Equipment:
- Varian Linacs: EDGE (New), Trilogy, Varisource HDR
- GE Lightspeed CT Simulator
- Software: Aria-EMR, Eclipse-Planning, Rad Calc, RPM motion management system
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
A Master's or Ph
D degree in Medical Physics:
- Experience:
Five (5) years of clinical experience is required.
- Certification:
American Board of Radiology in Radiation Therapy Physics or Radiological Physics
Must meet qualified expert criteria defined by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or State radiation agency.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- American Board of Radiology
- Therapeutic Medical Physics
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
