Food Service Host (Full-time) – UPMC Williamsport Make a Difference Through Exceptional Service!

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Food Service Host to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. In this role, you'll interact directly with patients to help ensure they receive nutritious meals and an outstanding dining experience during their hospital stay.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Shifts scheduled between

5: 00am and 8:30pm

• Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Please note:

We are not considering high school students for this position at this time.

What You'll Do

• Assist patients with meal selection and menu collection.
• Deliver and serve meals while providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure meals are served accurately, attractively, and within established timeframes.
• Verify patient identification and follow department procedures during meal service.
• Respond professionally to patient requests and concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned work areas.
• Follow food safety, hand hygiene, and infection prevention standards.
• Communicate patient feedback and concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.

Ideal Candidate

• Enjoys working directly with people and providing outstanding customer service.
• Has experience in food service, hospitality, retail, or another customer-facing environment.
• Experience serving patients, residents, or guests is preferred.
• Demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.
• Works well independently and as part of a team.
