Description
The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator supports the Principal Investigator in the day-to-day operational management of clinical research studies within the UCLA Department of Neurology. Responsibilities include assisting with participant identification and recruitment under IRB-approved plans, assisting with the informed consent process, conducting medical chart review, administering research batteries and interviewing study participants, scheduling participant visits, maintaining regulatory and study documentation in accordance with ethics guidelines, procuring study supplies, and supporting data entry and query resolution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively with participants and study teams, handles confidential information with discretion, and can manage competing deadlines across multiple protocols; prior experience in a health care or academic research setting is preferred.
Hourly salary range: 30.74 - 49.46

Required:
- Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills to effectively establish rapport, and build relationships.
- Strong organizational capabilities.
- Skills sufficient to solve problems and identify solutions

- Ability to concentrate and focus in a work environment that contains distracting stimuli and competing deadlines.
- Ability to be flexible in handling work delegated by more than one individual.
- Typing and computer skill/ability including word-processing, use of spreadsheets, email, data entry.
- Ability to navigate numerous software programs and applications.
- Ability to handle confidential material information with judgement and discretion.
- Skill in coordinating information transfer among multiple constituents.
