Head of Marketplace, Mobility (Southern Europe)

About the Role:
Our Southern Europe Operations team works where Uber's technology meets the real world. We own the business outcomes for Italy, Greece, and Malta, bridging our global strategy with local market needs.
As the Head of Marketplace**, you will sit at the core of our local operations, reporting directly to the local General Manager. You will lead the team in charge of pricing and incentives across three countries and multiple cities. Your mission is to use data and operational levers to ensure Uber offers the most competitive, reliable, and convenient service across Southern Europe.**

What You'll Do

Problem-Solving:** Identify root causes and implement scalable solutions to marketplace reliability and efficiency challenges.**

Pricing and investments**: manage pricing, prepare and execute price adjustment recommendations and launch new pricing technologies; design and execute rider and driver investment strategies**- Data Analytics:** Use business modeling, statistical techniques, and experimentation to impact business outcomes.- Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of four highly motivated professionals.- Competition: monitor competition and contribute to creation and execution of competitive strategy**- Regional Leadership:** Join the Southern Europe Leadership Team, contributing to strategic decisions and sharing accountability for Mobility goals.- Project Execution: Plan and lead multiple projects within a constantly changing, complex environment.**

Basic Qualifications
-
Experience:** At least 8 years in a fast-paced, strategic, data-driven role (e.g., management consulting, investment banking, or data analytics).**

Leadership:** Minimum 4 years of experience managing people.**

Strategic Mindset:** Ability to move comfortably between big-picture strategy and granular operational details.**

Adaptability:** High curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a "get-things-done" attitude in a complex matrix organization.**

Communication:** Excellent skills to discuss and present strategies to senior executives.**

Languages:** Fluency in** English and at least one of either Italian or Greek**.**

Education:** Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Math, Physics, Statistics, or equivalent life experience.**

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working within digital platforms or double-sided marketplaces.

Hands-on experience in data analytics using tools such as SQL, R, or Python**.**

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity.
