About the Role & Team
As Head of Sales, US&C Grocery Retail, you will own the end-to-end growth strategy for Uber Eats' Grocery and Retail business across the United States and Canada-one of the fastest-growing and most strategically important segments of the marketplace.
This role sits at the center of how we scale selection, win with top national and regional partners, and define our long-term position in Grocery and Retail. You will lead a multi-layered sales organization spanning Enterprise, Mid-Market, SMB, and Canada, translating broad business priorities into focused market strategy and execution.
You will operate as both a strategist and operator-setting direction on where we play, which partners matter most, and how we deploy resources to win. This role requires strong executive presence externally with C-suite partners, as well as the ability to drive alignment internally across Product, Finance, Operations, and Go-to-Market leadership. Your impact will directly shape selection quality, growth trajectory, and competitive positioning across US&C.
What You'll Do
- Act as a senior external leader, building and managing relationships with C-suite stakeholders across top Retail and Grocery partners
- Own and define the US&C Grocery and Retail sales strategy, including account prioritization, geographic focus, and category-level strategy across your portfolio
- Lead and scale a multi-segment sales organization, developing leaders and driving consistent execution across Enterprise, Mid-Market, SMB, and Canada
- Partner in setting performance targets and quotas across teams, ensuring alignment with broader business goals
- Own commercial deal strategy in partnership with Finance and Deal Desk, including investment allocation, trade-offs, and ROI optimization
- Lead complex contract negotiations in close partnership with Legal, including redlining and structuring long-term agreements with strategic partners
- Shape holistic selection strategy beyond direct sales, including scalable acquisition channels (e.g., BPOs, aggregators) and larger growth strategy
- Operate as a player-coach on high-priority deals and strategic partnerships, particularly in complex or high-stakes negotiations
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing managers and frontline sales teams
- Experience owning a quota-carrying or revenue-driving organization
- Proven ability to engage and influence C-suite stakeholders internally and externally
- Experience driving cross-functional initiatives and delivering results in complex environments
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in marketplace, e Commerce, retail, grocery, or similarly complex multi-sided businesses
-
Track record of defining and executing market-level or regional go-to-market strategies
-
Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience managing investment decisions and structuring complex deals
-
Experience scaling SMB acquisition through both direct and indirect channels
-
Demonstrated ability to operate with high ownership in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
