About the Role

The Mobility Operations team is responsible for bringing Uber's vision to life. Day to day they lead strategy creation and execution. Month to month, they are the instigators of change. Operations are all about running our business on the ground and helping our driver partners and riders get the most out of the Uber platform.
We are seeking a Core Rider Lead to grow our rider base and engagement, including providing local insights to help define our overall rider strategy and proposition and launching new products and services to serve our riders' transport needs.
This role will also involve huge cross-functional collaboration with our product teams, marketing, customer support, business development, finance, tax, legal, policy and communications.
Your Impact in Role
- Provide on the ground user insights to help develop our end-to-end user growth strategy and execution in Hong Kong e.g., understanding rider rider preferences, behavior and segmentation, turbocharging user acquisition, engagement and retention efforts
- Scope and identify new growth opportunities and innovate to test and launch new products or features to capture them
- Lead and empower a team of incredibly smart, passionate and driven people - championing our culture and employee brand
- Collaborate with our local and regional cross-functional teams (Marketing, BD, Customer Experience, etc.) to turbocharge growth
What You Will Need
- Extensive experience in operations, preferably with direct ownership of growth goals in a matrix environment
- Strategic and analytical thinking. Able to define and structure a problem, generate and validate hypotheses, focus and prioritize on highest impact efforts and make decisions backed by data, unafraid to dig deep with soundn business judgment
- Customer centricity. Able to deeply understand our customers' needs and preferences, innovate on solutions to address them and advocate to deliver on them.
- Results orientation. Demonstrated experience driving business outcomes and achieving business results.
- Stellar project management skills. You have demonstrated impressive ability to lead initiatives at your organization
- Effective communication. Experience working closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You have the ability to motivate and inspire through storytelling and you are able to rally people behind a common goal
- Team leadership. Experience in managing a high-performing team - able to build, develop and inspire a diverse team, both direct reports and cross-functional peers.
- Full proficiency in English and SQL is required
- Fluency in Cantonese and / or Mandarin Chinese is a plus
- Prior experience in a marketing or growth role in a tech or mobility company is a plus
- Prior consulting or investment banking background that provides a foundation for strategic thinking and communications is a plus
