About the Role:

This is a position within the Earner's org in Bangalore. Earners team is responsible for building solutions that enable our Earners to onboard easily to Uber and to discover new earning opportunities.

As part of the Earner Documents Processing team, you will be responsible for building the next generation automated documents processing for earners at Uber

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

1. Design, deliver and maintain systems that enable Earners across the globe to easily onboard to the Uber platform which is a critical step in unlocking Earner access to Uber's platform.
2. Collaborate with product managers, data science and global operations teams to gather requirements.
3. Partner with fellow engineers to architect, develop and scale Screenings platform , while keeping operational issues in mind.
4. Mentor and support your fellow teammates.
5. Drive ongoing efficiency and reliability improvements that improve the quality of the systems.
6. Write clear documentation so that other engineers can partner to contribute and deliver.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

1. 6+ years of overall experience with a track record as a software engineer
2. Strong experience in software design and architecture.
3. Experience going through the full software cycle of requirements, design, coding/testing, rollout/deploy standard methodologies in delivering world class software and services.
4. Experience in technical collaboration with other engineers and product managers
5. Passion about your team's mission and the self-starting personality to make things happen.
6. Proven development experience and proficiency in distributed systems and micro services.
7. Proven programming skills in Go, Java, Python, or similar.
8. Proven frontend programming skills in Javascript, react, or similar.
9. Adept at communicating and collaborating effectively with others, promoting your ideas as well as being humble when you may be wrong
10. Excited to learn from and guide others and are passionate about creating tools, products and providing support for other junior engineers

1. Experience in developing a large scale consumer internet platform/product
2. Experience in a fast paced environment.
3. Worked in an environment of collaboration across geographies
4. Has mentored and guided engineers on technical implementations
5. Work experience with operational/agent workflows will be a plus
