About the role

Uber's global paid social team sets the benchmark for innovation and scale in performance marketing.

As a Paid Social Associate, you will support the global strategy for paid social growth campaigns, executing on performance goals across various regions and lines of business. You will work directly with large-scale budgets on platforms like Meta, Tik Tok, and Snap, translating business goals into live campaigns. This role requires a blend of operational excellence-ensuring flawless execution of campaigns-and analytical curiosity to identify what is driving results. You will collaborate closely with Ad Tech, Product, Creative, Marketing Science teams and external partners to unlock efficiency and innovation in our marketing systems.

About the Team Performance Marketing: The Performance Marketing organization at Uber is structured to drive high-impact marketing campaigns that leverage innovative technology across all of Uber's segments and products. Performance marketing is focused on the lower funnel metrics such as acquisition, remarketing, re-engagement, and retention.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

1. Contribute to the global strategy for paid social growth campaigns.
2. Execute and monitor paid social campaigns across major platforms (Meta, Tik Tok, etc.), ensuring campaigns are launched on time, within budget, and error-free.
3. Implement A/B tests and experimentation frameworks (creative, audience, bid strategies) to drive acquisition and retention KPIs.
4. Monitor performance and suggest optimizations to improve efficiency against incrementality targets.
5. Utilize internal and external tools (e.g., Smartly, Meta Ads Manager) to scale operations.
6. Analyze and share campaign performance with cross-functional teams.
7. Stay up to date on industry trends, platform updates (e.g., iOS changes), and competitor activity to ensure Uber remains ahead of the curve.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

1. 2+ years of experience in performance marketing, specifically with hands-on keyboard experience in paid social channels (Meta, Tik Tok, Snap, etc.)
2. Strong experience in Facebook/Tik Tok ad manager or ad management tools (Smartly)
3. Previous in-office experience, as this role requires in-person office attendance, and is considered hybrid
4. Strong experience using Google Sheets / Excel (filters, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and Tableau to analyze data and identify patterns with confidence
5. Understanding of core performance metrics (CPA, ROAS, CPM, CTR) and basic attribution concepts.

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

1. Experience with app-based performance marketing and MMPs (e.g., Singular, Appsflyer, Branch) is highly preferred
2. Experience with incrementality testing and lift measurement, with a clear understanding of how to evaluate mediaimpact beyond standard platform attribution
3. Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and maintain accountability to timelines
4. A desire to move quickly, experiment with new ideas, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain campaign results to cross-functional partners
6. General curiosity about performance marketing data and how media platforms work
7. Understanding of best practices for acquisition/performance media campaigns with a focus on incrementality

  • For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD**$105,000 per year**
  • USD**$117,000 per year**.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
