About the Role:
Our Operations team operates where Uber's technology meets the real world. We own the local business and set the strategy for our markets across Iberia. At the heart of this role is solving problems**. You will use data, operational levers, and strategic product launches to ensure Uber remains the most reliable and preferred service in the region.**
What You'll Do:
- Strategy & Vision:** Develop and execute the tactics needed to grow our share of the category across Spain and Portugal.**
- Data-Driven Optimization:** Analyze real-time and historical data to assess market trends, track competitors, and identify opportunities to optimize Uber's position.**
- Marketplace Execution:** Devise and project manage marketplace, product, and incentive strategies to support business growth.**
- Process Excellence:** Continuously improve recurring competition cadences and processes, seeking maximum efficiency.**
- Problem Solving:** Conduct deep dives into competitive or operational challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve them.**
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with Legal, Tax, and Product teams to roll out new initiatives and improve the competitive state of our markets.**
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience:** Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in operations, strategy, consulting, or analytics.**
- Data Savvy:** Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and the ability to independently pull and manipulate data with** SQL**.**
- Structured Problem Solving:** A proven ability to break down ambiguous problems and use data-backed insights to solve them.**
- Bias for Action:** Experience working in fast-paced environments with a focus on delivering tangible impact, such as increasing reliability or improving spend efficiency.**
- Organization:** A structured thinker and executor with high attention to detail.**
- Language:** Fluency in** English**(written and verbal).**
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management:** Ability to move multiple initiatives forward in parallel.**
- Business Acumen:** Ability to prioritize effectively, recognize shifting business needs, and pivot quickly.**
- Marketplace Dynamics:** Experience in supply-demand balancing or pricing and incentive strategies.**
- Regional Expertise:** Professional fluency in** Spanish and/or Portuguese**.**

You are comfortable going from data → insight → action without relying on others for your technical analysis. Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity.
