About the Role
Uber is transforming how people get what they need, when they need it. Our Global Delivery business is a primary growth pillar of this vision, and as the Strategy & Planning Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of this sector.
This role is designed for a sharp, high-EQ operator to lead strategic planning and drive business-critical initiatives across Uber's rapidly growing global footprint. You will act as the "quarterback" of the planning process-turning complex challenges into actionable roadmaps, shaping growth priorities, and helping us allocate capital where it matters most.
You will partner directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams across Product, Ops, Finance, and Marketing to deliver bold yet grounded strategy. This role requires a unique blend of deep analytical chops and the ability to influence global execution.
What You'll Do:

- Capital Allocation: Work closely with leadership to drive investment strategy, determining how and where we invest across markets, GTM headcount, and reliability levers to maximize ROI.
- Cross-Portfolio Delivery Strategy: Develop a cohesive strategy that bridges various delivery segments (e.g., Grocery, Retail, Restaurant), ensuring that investments and initiatives are aligned across the entire delivery portfolio.
- Business Analysis & Insights: Conduct deep analysis of market trends, the competitive landscape, and internal performance data to inform strategic decisions and provide actionable insights.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with key teams including Product, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to implement initiatives that align with the overall global strategy.
- Performance Tracking: Develop metrics and dashboards to track progress against goals, leading regular performance reviews with leadership to ensure objectives are met.
- Mentor & Lead: Manage and guide a high-performing team, setting a high bar for structured problem-solving and strategic thinking.
