About the Role

As part of the Global Commerce Strategic Finance team, you will play a critical role in guiding the financial strategy of Uber's Financial Services portfolio. This position is responsible for supporting products throughout their lifecycle—from pilot to development, launch, and scale—by evaluating business cases, driving financial performance, and aligning key stakeholders.

You will work closely with leaders in the Financial Business Group, Product, Engineering, Business Development, and Finance to provide financial insights, shape strategic decisions, and establish rigorous financial discipline. This is a high-impact role with exposure to products that benefit the platform as a whole.

What You'll Do

  1. Lead financial reporting & forecasting across multiple high-growth and scaled products (including partnering with the operations team on business case development)
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Product, Tech, Business Development, and the Financial Business Group to evaluate investment opportunities and resource decisions
  3. Build and refine financial models to assess ROI, profitability, and long-term value creation
  4. Translate strategic priorities into actionable annual budgets and forecasts that reflect market conditions, customer behavior, and product stage
  5. Manage and develop a team, including mentorship and coaching

What You'll Need

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics
  2. 6+ years in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Corporate Development / Strategy, Consulting or other related areas

Bonus Points If

  1. Prior experience managing a team with a focus on growth and development
  2. Proven ability to manage cross-functional finance and operational partnerships
  3. Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; strong financial modeling skills
  4. Technical fluency in SQL, Python, or business intelligence tools
  5. Familiarity with enterprise FP&A/reporting systems like Anaplan, TM1, Oracle, Salesforce, or Coupa
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management—able to “tell the story” with data, influence senior partners, and operate in highly matrixed environments
  7. Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment with a high level of attention to detail
