Crafting a strategic roadmap **that cements Uber's leadership as the go-to platform for autonomous ridesharing.**2. Overseeing the full lifecycle of multiple projects across different business areas, leveraging your deep understanding of user experience, marketplace dynamics, and platform versatility to hit key metrics.

Delivering new products and revolutionary paradigms that consistently boost our KPIs, all while keeping our platform rock-solid.
Developing cutting-edge tech that not only prepares Uber for future autonomous vehicle innovations but also makes a wider impact across the entire company.
---- Basic Qualifications ---- -
3+ years of backend engineering expertise.2. Skilled in a core programming language**(e.g., C, C++, Java, Python, or Go).**
A strong foundation in product development**.**
---- Preferred Qualifications ---- -
2+ years of overall software development experience.02. Proven track record with rapid, metrics-driven product iterations**, always prioritizing reliability.**03. Extensive experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems and scalable backend services **using a microservices approach to support fast-moving products.04. Comfortable and experienced working in rapidly evolving, pioneering fields.**05. A background in the transportation or autonomous vehicle industry **would be a plus.**06. Experience creating flexible, modular solutions **that serve a variety of clients and use cases.**07. Deep experience applying Operations Research and Machine Learning **to product engineering.08. A knack for navigating complex cross-functional environments, collaborating effectively with business, legal, operations, and technical project management teams to achieve consensus.**09. Experience working closely with external engineering partners **and their cross-functional teams.**10. Any experience with enterprise mobile engineering.
