Jobs
About the Role:
Alongside Uber Eats, we are launching Uber Direct in Greece. Uber Direct is our white-label delivery service that enables merchants to offer fast, same-day delivery from their own websites, apps, or stores - with no need for customers to use the Uber app.
You will own the initial GTM commercial strategy (pipeline creation and sales) for the market. As we launch our first merchants, you will then transition to also focus on scaling our merchants' operations and driving long-term commercial health of our partnerships. You will be the vital link that translates high-level digital strategy into scalable, on-the-ground delivery operations.
Success here requires intrinsic drive to solve tough problems and the ability to influence and align stakeholders with competing priorities. You must stay steady under pressure, using data to navigate ambiguity and drive results for your partners. You will build deep expertise in the local delivery ecosystem and help define the standard for how the Greek market experiences on-demand last mile delivery.
What You'll Do:
As a Growth Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for:
-
Sales**: Closing the best partnerships with the right merchants, at the right commercials, with a strong cross-functional commercial team. You will work alongside our Restaurant and Retail teams to identify the right GTM approach (pipeline and commercial strategy) and win our first accounts to go live.- Account Management: Driving growth, operational excellence and financial sustainability with our live merchant partners. Ensuring the end-to-end experience for our merchants is easy, and operations flow with high levels of reliability. Work closely with our scaled Operations team to escalate, resolve and improve when our experience is not at the desired level.- Financial and operational efficiency: You will build long-term relationships with your key accounts and be the main point of contact across the org, from Store Manager to HQ, focusing on improving their operations and optimizing our commercials.- Analysis: Quantify everything you do. Utilize an analytical approach to understand the performance of initiatives to ensure you are effectively prioritizing those with the highest return on investment.- Be proactive: This role will require fast thinking and moving swiftly through high-pressure environments.**
This is the ideal role for someone with a strategic mindset coupled with next-level sales and account management skills and an operational curiosity. You will have the rare opportunity to launch a market from scratch, pilot new features, operating models, and commercial structures, which can be playbooked and scaled across Uber. -
What You'll Need
-
3+ years of customer or client facing experience ideally in account management or consulting. Previous experience in setting and achieving business targets- Critical thinking and problem solving capabilities**: Experience with challenging the status quo and identifying the root cause of hard problems to solve.- Analytical skills: Comfortable with data analysis, spreadsheets and presenting findings and recommendations. Data driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking.- Commercial acumen: Understanding of how businesses and organizations work and how to navigate a partner's business. Ability to build sales pitches, negotiate deals and creative commercial strategies for our partners in a fast-growing market.- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholders across businesses and levels.- Project management: Able to create meticulously detailed execution plans for large-scale projects (e.g. launching a new product, onboarding a major enterprise) and then deliver them to plan regardless of any surprises or ambiguity along the way**- Stakeholder management**: Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, e.g., Commercial, Operations, Product (Tech), Finance and Legal teams.**- Highly autonomous self-starter,
comfortable with ambiguity: Able to come up with new ideas and execute them autonomously. Eager to learn with a #gogetit attitude. You should not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty!- Greek and English fluency a must
