This position has a range of $26.87 - $38.10/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job. We have an open position for third shift.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible to monitor, control, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all building components, refrigeration equipment, steam generating equipment, compressed air systems, water supply and distribution systems, return condensate systems, mechanically, electrically, hydraulically, and pneumatically using the proper tools and test equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The frequency of the following activities may vary according to the requirements of the job task assigned.

• Assist in utilities maintenance as directed (HVAC, wastewater, etc.)

• Complete all necessary documentation of activities (log entries, leak reports, etc.)

• Ensures operation of Utilities machinery and mechanical equipment by performing maintenance on various machines, following diagrams, machine manuals, and manufacturer’s instructions

• Troubleshoots malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation, discovering problems, and making the repairs

• Performs minor and major repairs

• Handles preventative maintenance

• Install equipment on utility systems

• Comply with all Tyson safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements

• Complete all paperwork and SAP functions

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of (3) years of experience or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.

• NJ Black Seal Boiler License High Pressure or higher

• Experience in Electro-Mechanical, or a related field of study (preferred)

• PSM Experience (preferred)

• Must be willing and able to work in a cold environment, -20 to 110 degrees F, with all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and required gear

• Must be willing and able to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as pinching and grasping

• Able to reach high and low levels, frequently

• Able to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend, up to 12 hrs.

• Able to climb stairs several times per hour

• 3 Time rule employment with Tyson

• 90 days waiting period for rehire
