Summary:

This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to producers caring for the company's birds, ensuring their proper care and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Advisory Role: Advise producers regarding building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation.

• Farm Visits: Conduct farm visits to document bird comfort, manage the flock and equipment settings.

• Schedules & Monitoring: Direct feed and light schedules, monitor bird health, egg production, body weight, and conformation, and provide remedies when possible.

• Sample Collection: Monitor feed consumption, pull blood and fat samples on time when required.

• Coordination: Coordinate bird placements to the farms, assist with catch schedules, and ensure communication between hatchery, feed mill, vaccination crews, and live haul as it pertains to their contract farms.

• Compliance: Ensure both producer and company are in compliance with the production contract to produce flocks of the highest quality and lowest cost due to good performance.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all USDA and other government regulations are followed when handling poultry.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

• Experience: 1 plus year.

• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

• Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.

• Must not own, possess, or maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl
