Description:
This position is responsible for coordinating trailer and tanker traffic to be washed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks:
This position will use a yard truck to transport 40-foot trailers to and from the production yard/holding area to be washed. This position requires a current Arkansas Driver’s License and must pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment. Must have the ability to lift 25 pounds, shovel, climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure water hose with 30 pounds of pressure or more. Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions. Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations. Must have the ability to document information. Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.
Requirements:
Must be willing to work A, B, C or D shift. Applicants must be 18 years of age. Applicants who have worked for Tyson three times will not be considered. Minimum 6 month waiting period from previous Tyson employment. All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening which is part of the post-offer health assessment. Applications are only active for the current month in which you applied. Applicant will need to reapply next month and have an active application to be considered for employment.
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Must have 3 months work history listed within the past 24 months. Prefer trailer experience.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
