Job Details:

Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday-Friday;

Additionally as needed to insure maximum equipment operation

SUMMARY: This position will maintain the grounds for the farm, ensuring mowing, building upkeep, snow removal,etc.

REQUIREMENT: 6 month work history or participant of any industrial maintenance educational program, maintenance experience preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

• Responsible for repairs to vehicle equipment

Maintain and operate farm equipment

Maintain appropriate parts inventory

Maintaining farm grounds

Other specific duties as required; inclusive of all farm work responsibilities, cooperating with others as needed to complete necessary tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to carry out essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, within safety guidelines

Ability to operate all farm equipment efficiently, within safety guidelines

Ability to efficiently use hand tools and trades type tools, to provide maintenance of all farm equipment

Strong mechanic background preferred

Basic electrical and plumbing experience preferred

Required to learn essential farm animal husbandry practices

Willingness to work overtime and be called into work for emergency situations as required

Physical Requirements / Environment:

• Stand/Walk: Continuously

Lift/Carry: Frequently (1-10 lbs), occasionally (up to 35-50 lbs.)

Other Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally; bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder, crouch, kneel, push/pull

Frequently; grasp

Continuously; working around moving machinery, in areas with marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes, occasionally working at unprotected heights, around and amongst dead birds and a strong chicken odor

Rehire Consideration:

• Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered for hire.
• 90 days waiting period
