Job Details:
This position is responsible for setting up and operating machinery used for cooking while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The Cooker operator controls the cooking process from hydrolyzing the product to a finished product.
Schedule:
Monday
- Friday, some Saturday work, 2:30 PM - Production end
Starting pay rate:
$18.25/hr + $2/hr shift differential
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Running the Machinery that processes the meat into make meal.
Transferring of hydrolyzed meal to storage.
REQUIREMENT:
6 months continuous work history in 2 years

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Keep work area clean and free of clutter(housekeeping); Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); Using correct tool for each job assignment; Report injury of oneself or coworker to management; Report job hazards immediately (correct immediately when possible) and document; Inspect all tools and materials for defects and safety issues; Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
