B-Shift Quality Assurance Technician 5 - Amarillo Hides/Tanery at Tyson Foods
About the role
Job Details: SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for conducting physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, accurately documenting and calculating results, and taking corrective action when necessary. Responsibilities include notifying appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying and isolating non-conforming products, and communicating findings to management.
All team members are expected to maintain a strong commitment to safety and support operational needs assigned. The role requires technical aptitude, the ability to complete required Tyson documentation, strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and the ability to read and interpret product specifications. Candidates must be able to lead by example, motivate hourly team members, work effectively under pressure, and demonstrate flexibility to support varying operational needs and schedules.
This position also requires the ability to repeatedly lift 30–40 pounds or more, when necessary, along with performing additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of +1-year experience in Hides/Tannery required or other QA type experience.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills preferred.
Communication Skills:
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Other:
Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed and take on additional assignments as requested.
