About the team

The Field Engineering team is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective deployment of Twelve Labs' video understanding APIs for developers and enterprises. We act as a trusted advisor and thought partner for our customers, ensuring they maximize value from our multimodal foundation models and products.

The Solutions team, part of Field Engineering, is focused on enabling high-impact and strategic customers. They collaborate closely to resolve technical challenges, provide deep expertise, and co-build innovative video AI applications that highlight the transformative advantages of our platform.

About the role

We're hiring a Solutions Architect to help our strategic customers unlock the full potential of video AI. Acting as the dedicated technical resource for key accounts, you'll drive solution design, implementation guidance, and the co-development of innovative applications that showcase the capabilities of our multimodal foundation models.

You'll provide expert technical guidance while collaborating with Sales, Product, Partnerships and Engineering teams.

This is a highly self-directed and creative role where you'll need to thrive in an unstructured, rapidly expanding and evolving environment.

In this role, you will

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by providing technical expertise, scoping use cases, and supporting the implementation of video AI applications with technical stakeholders at startups and enterprises.

• Own technical relationships with strategic customers, ensuring successful integrations, resolving complex technical challenges, and driving adoption across their organizations.

• Guide customers on best practices for leveraging Twelve Labs APIs to create secure, scalable, and differentiated video understanding experiences.

• Serve as the first line of defense for design, security, compliance, and architecture questions, escalating complex requirements to internal experts as needed.

• Create and maintain documentation, implementation guides, and FAQs for common customer requirements and technical challenges.

• Gather customer feedback and represent the voice of developers and enterprises to internal teams, helping shape product roadmaps and future capabilities.

You may be a good fit if you have

• Have 5+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as Solutions Architect, Technical Account Manager, or Implementation Engineer.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of and experience working with LLMs, multimodal AI, REST APIs, Python, JavaScript, and modern application development, with a deep understanding of video workflows and video workloads.

• Have experience driving customer implementations from kickoff through production launch, with a track record of building trusted technical relationships.

• Are an exceptional communicator who can translate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders and debug integration issues with engineering teams.

• Operate with high horsepower, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-changing environment with evolving priorities.

• Bring a collaborative, humble attitude with an eagerness to help customers and internal teams succeed.
