Toyota’s Quality Control Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Quality Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and improve supplier quality as well as overall completed vehicle quality.

Reporting to the Quality Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Quality Control objective to maintain superior vehicle quality.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing supplier activities to confirm and improve parts quality level

  • Managing cross-functional initiatives to improve overall vehicle quality level

  • Establishing and maintaining part and vehicle quality standards

  • Leading and managing problem solving related to design, manufacturing, supplied parts, inspection processes and equipment

  • Managing process and design changes at suppliers and at TMMI to assure no negative impact to vehicle quality and reliability

  • Sharing and adopting best practices for internal and external processes

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (either through co-op/intern or full-time position)

  • Project management experience (to include developing, leading, prioritizing work, meeting milestones, gaining consensus, and reporting out status of project)

  • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position

Added bonus if you have

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

  • Supplier interaction/relations experience

  • Experience in a Quality role within an organization
