Job Description:
Newly created for 2026, this exciting Apprenticeship Programme forms one of two new routes into the Central Loss Prevention Function. Our new Loss Prevention Apprenticeship Programme – Physical & Technical Security (Level 4) sits within our LP Physical & Technical Security team – which sits within our Global Safety and Security, Investigations and Physical and Technical Security team, who look after a range of security systems and activities for the function and our European business.
Over the course of this 21-month Apprenticeship Programme – you’ll study towards the Level 4 Protective Security Advisor Apprenticeship Standard (equivalent to a foundation degree) with Mercury Training, a UK leading provider of security, facilities management and operational leadership training and apprenticeships. Through your studies and training – which emphasises security as a business enabler and protective measure – you’ll learn all about risk assessments, stakeholder engagement, use of technology and procedures, deployment of security personnel and building a positive security culture. You’ll get to apply your learning in your role, building your awareness of our TJX Physical & Technical Security framework, associated systems and equipment and key aspects of Protective security:

Developing knowledge and awareness of our Physical & Technical Security systems e.g. CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and how they support our Loss Prevention strategy

Supporting the creation, maintenance and delivery of training, user guides / materials – playing a part in ensuring operational best practice in using our physical security systems

Assisting the team in delivering key business objectives and projects, supporting with requirements gathering and communicating with a range stakeholders across the business

Reading, understanding and interpreting business requirements, working in compliance with TJX guidelines and supporting policies

Participating in team meetings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Who we are looking for

You'll need a valid and eligible residency status, right to work in England and depending on your immigration status, you may also need to demonstrate that you've lived continuously in the UK for at least 3 years

3 A-Levels or equivalent (Grade C or higher) or have completed a Level-3 Apprenticeship

Demonstrable basic knowledge and / or experience of IT or Physical / Technical Security Systems would be beneficial

Analytical Mind-Set: You’re curious, enjoy making sense of complex problems and not afraid to challenge assumptions

Strong attention to detail – you thrive on understanding requirements and spotting risks and opportunities

Organised and Delivery-Focused: You can take the initiative, balance lots of changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and remain flexible in your approach

People-Oriented: you’re someone who builds strong relationships, communicates clearly and shares technical concepts in a range of meaningful ways

Ability to travel across our European Retail and Corporate office locations (including Driver's Licence and Passport etc)

Language skills in German, Polish, Dutch or Spanish would be advantageous
