Job Description:

Shift: Friday

• Sunday; 6:00AM - 6:30PM

Rate: $30.00/Hour + $3.00/Hour Shift Differential

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/TASKS ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to operate cutting torches and various types of welding equipment.

• Possess and can demonstrate carpentry skills

• Demonstrate and ability to fabricate projects from either wood or metal.

• Recommends and implements improvements to equipment, operations and procedures and safety as appropriate.

• Supports maintenance manager, supervisor, and clerk to spec out and orders parts, and help maintain inventory of spares.

• Work directly with vendors and or contractors to ensure systems operate at desired performance when needed.

• Keeps all building and material handling systems operating

QUALIFCATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required. 1. 3+ years of experience working in an industrial or similar maintenance position.

2. Experience in industrial maintenance field with demonstrated preventative maintenance experience in material handling

3. Proven proficiency in three or more of the following areas; electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, plumbing, electro hydraulics, mechanical and electrical drive systems, PLC controlled systems

4. Familiarity with OSHA/NFPA/NEC standards

5. Understand and knowledgeable of MSDS sheets

6. Ability to understand and read English

7. Ability to grasp, bend, and lift or otherwise move items weighing up to 75 pounds

8. Good communications and writing skills

9. Math skills to include but not limited to general math.

10. Capable of completing all company forms and paperwork

11. Ability to work at heights or unusual work positions.

12. Must be able to read and understand drawings, i.e., architect, mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc.

13. Must be able to operate all shop equipment and hand tools.

14. Must maintain housekeeping standards

15. Must maintain safe work practices.

16. Grasp, bend, and lift or otherwise move items weighing up to 75 lbs.

Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to lubricants, chemical vapors, aerosols, and other physical demands requiring certain levels of tolerance for working in adverse conditions i.e., noise, dust, heat, weather, conditions is necessary.
