Responsibilities

We are Ads Core Team from Tik Tok Global Monetization Technology. Our core mission is to generate revenue and optimize the user experience on the world's leading short-form video platform.
The Monetization Client team from Tik Tok Ads Core is responsible for delivering innovative ads products on Tik Tok, including content ads, new ads formats, vertical solutions, creator monetization business account, ads experiences etc. Working closely with product team, our mission is to build the window letting advertisers promote their products on Tik Tok, and to build the bridge that can deeply connects advertisers and Tik Tok users. Therefore, besides supporting the innovative features on monetization, ensuring the user experience in Tik Tok is also our priority.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with backend, frontend, and product teams to develop and launch innovative ad features on the Tik Tok app.
2. Collaborate with design and product teams to create a world-class mobile ads experience.
3. Design, implement, and optimize novel monetization features for iOS/Android applications, ensuring efficiency and performance.
4. Promote best practices by writing robust, maintainable code and clear documentation while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Partner seamlessly with senior and lead engineers, share knowledge and best practices within the team, and contribute to the company's long-term technological strategy.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Final year or recent graduate with a background in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Relevant practical experience in mobile app development (Android and/or iOS).
3. Good object-oriented development and software system design skills.
4. Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Java/Kotlin (Android) or Swift/Objective-C (iOS).
5. Ability to understand, debug, and optimize large and complex codebases.
6. Strong team communication and collaboration skills, strong curiosity for new technologies and solution delivery, with result-driven mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Passion and experience in building consumer-facing or ads products.
2. Experience in Android architecture refactoring, optimization, and performance tuning, or similar iOS-related performance optimization.
3. Proven ability to optimize client-side performance and enhance user experience through technical innovation.

Job InformationFor Pay Transparency Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $118657 - $259200 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
