Responsibilities

• As a senior software engineer in the data platform team, you will have the opportunity to build, optimize and grow one of the largest data platforms in the world. You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on all kinds of systems in the data platform ecosystem. Your work will have a direct and huge impact on the company's core products as well as hundreds of millions of users.
• Design and implement reliable, scalable, robust and extensible big data systems that support core products and business
• Build the world-leading cloud native OLAP engine for PB level data sets
• Optimize and enhance open source data frameworks, Spark SQL, Presto, Flink etc.
• Responsible for architecting internal data warehouse and data lakes to support all business unites
• Creating innovative solutions toward system scalability, reliability, and availability problems

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Familiar with commonly used algorithms, data structures, network programming and multi-threaded programming

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $198360 - $416100 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
