You will work closely with a variety of internal partners including Policy, Product, Legal, Operations, and Quality Analysis to ensure that Tik Tok is able to detect, triage, and prevent safety incidents.

As Tik Tok continues to integrate with a growing ecosystem of products, the complexity of our promotional lever workflows is also expanding. The policy team is responsible for ensuring consistent and compliant policy application across all these new surfaces. While a Program Manager focuses on the strategic design of workflows, the policy specialist is responsible for the critical day-to-day execution of these policy processes.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute policy workflows for manually promoted content across emerging products, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and requirements.
  • Conduct regular calibration sessions with the USDS Operations team to ensure consistent and accurate policy enforcement and application of our policies.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, advising and consulting on the nuances of policies to guide their initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Global and USDS Security teams on escalations related to manual promotions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to monitor emerging social media trends and problematic behaviors in the US to predict and prevent potential violations of community guidelines.
