About the Team:

The Global Monetization Product and Technology (GMPT) team is the core revenue engine for Tik Tok, responsible for building the sophisticated advertising technology and platforms that advertisers use to connect with audiences worldwide. Our work includes everything from backend targeting signals and ad measurement to the tools for brand, lead-generation, and other large-scale advertising partners.

This role requires 5 days in the office each week. The GMPT organization emphasizes the importance of in-person collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, which is why we follow an in-office schedule. Please note that our in-office and hybrid work models are regularly reviewed, and specific requirements may be subject to change.

Responsibilities:

  • As an HR Business Partner you will wear multiple hats, acting as a trusted advisor, a hands-on problem-solver, and a strategic project leader. Your scope will be broad and will evolve with the needs of the business.

  • Proactively manage and resolve employee relations issues, serving as the primary point of contact for employees and managers.
  • Enhance employee development and management throughout the year by providing coaching, mentoring, and timely feedback; oversee the formal performance review and calibration process.
  • Conduct initial fact-finding and investigations into employee relations concerns, partnering with our central ER and Legal teams on high-risk cases.
  • Manage core processes such as transfers, organizational changes, data and reporting, and system changes.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist, People Partner, or Human Capital Consultant.
  • Corporate experience in employee relations, performance management, leadership development, and general HR program/operations.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environment.
  • Willingness and flexibility to communicate and collaborate across global time zones (including AMS, EMEA, and APAC) to partner with a globally distributed team.
  • High oral proficiency in Mandarin required, along with medium written proficiency: The role involves frequent communication with global teams, clients, and stakeholders in Chinese-speaking markets. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to effectively engage with Chinese-speaking partners and understand cultural nuances, ensuring comprehensive cross-cultural collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • Experience supporting Product Development and/or tech client groups.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, ability, and willingness to be hands-on (operational) and strategic.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to autonomously manage multiple projects concurrently, with strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Proactive, "self-starter" mindset with a strong desire to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.

Job Information:

For Pay Transparency Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $102600 - $174400 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
