About The Team:

Our T&S Technical Program Management performs a critical function that supports our efforts to address objectionable or disturbing content. Content that interacts with includes images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; and murder.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.

About Team

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to join the Trust and Safety team. As a TPM, you will report to the T&S Technical Program Management Lead who works closely with the Head of Trust and Safety to identify core priorities and cross-functional initiatives. You will take ownership of complex T&S programs so as to uphold our commitment to keep our online community safe, working closely across a broad range of disciplines, including Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, Product Policy, Legal, Operations, and Risk and Response.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of cross-functional T&S programs, leveraging your technical expertise to identify and analyze risks, to synthesize business, technical, and regulatory requirements, and to deliver measurable impact.
  • Articulate complex Trust & Safety strategies in a clear and cohesive manner and align technical and non-technical stakeholders, across many disciplines and diverse regions/work cultures, behind them.
  • Create and maintain project plans and roadmaps in accordance with organizational priorities, define delivery methodologies, and drive project execution and tracking.
  • Assemble and direct cross-functional teams with the appropriate skills for successful execution and delivery (including subject matter experts, project sponsors, and operational resources across multiple teams).
  • Manage executive leadership communications and reporting, distilling critical updates on program status, risks/issues, business impact, and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree with 5+ years experience in cross-functional program management and working in the Trust and Safety field

  • Proven ownership and accountability in driving and overseeing multiple complex and cross-functional technical programs from initiation to delivery at scale

  • Detailed analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems and datasets

  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and thought leadership, and capacity to adapt and thrive in fast-paced work environments with rapidly shifting landscapes and priorities

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of the landscape and new policy developments in new media, tech, and the entertainment industry

  • Familiarity with human moderation and machine learning for removing harmful content

  • Resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role

  • Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.

Job InformationFor Pay Transparency Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $96000 - $168889 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
