Backend Software Engineer - TikTok Global Live

The Tik Tok LIVE Client team focuses on delivering an engaging, best-in-class live streaming experience to users worldwide. Our team develops creative and interactive features that enable streamers and viewers to express themselves and connect with others in real time. We are looking for passionate software engineers to join us in this fast-growing industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop business critical systems that powers Tik Tok Live Streaming.
2. Design the architecture for systems, services and pipelines to ensure high stability, reliability and data consistency.
3. Work out solutions for product features and technical requirements and implement them with high quality.
4. Work closely with multiple cross-functional teams to deliver high quality work in rapid product development.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related major.
2. Experienced in building backend services for large-scale consumer-facing applications.
3. Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, C++.
4. Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures and algorithms.
5. Have good team communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualification

1. Experience with payment or transaction processing systems is preferable.
