AI Moderation Analyst Project Intern (TikTok Safety Product) - 2025 Start (BS/MS)

About the Team:

The Safety Product team is at the forefront of building and optimizing content safety systems. With a focus on optimising and advancing content safety, we leverage advanced large language models to enhance review efficiency, risk control, and user trust. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, we deliver scalable solutions that keep pace with rapid global growth.

As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Responsibilities:

• Support Tik Tok LIVE security governance operations, with a focus on both content and model-related tasks to ensure platform safety.
• Contribute to Content and Model Operations: Participate in content understanding, case annotation, model effectiveness evaluation, problem attribution analysis, and data cleaning for large models.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with product, operations, annotation, and algorithm teams to optimize review standards, improve human moderation quality, build and refine standard/evaluation sets, and enhance model accuracy and confidence metrics.
• Assist in Workflow Improvement: Participate in the design and enhancement of workflows aimed at improving review quality and model quality, supporting greater operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Minimum Qualifications

• Actively enrolled university students who can commit to the role for at least 3 months and above ideally with a minimum of 3 working days per week.

• Interest in content security, governance, and model operations, with experience using or engaging with multiple content products.

• Understanding and interest in internet operations, particularly in the areas of content moderation and data-driven workflows.

• Strong coordination, collaborative, and time management skills; is able to work in a fast-paced, international and dynamic environment.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Prior internship experience in internet companies or organizations working with large models.
