About the team
Our Search Architecture Team is responsible for building up and optimizing the architecture for our Search Engine to provide the most stable and best experience for our Tik Tok Search users.

This person will be responsible for the design and development of the search system architecture, ensuring system stability and high availability; responsible for online services, offline data flow performance optimization, solving performance bottlenecks, reducing costs and unlocking.

Responsibilities:

-Responsible for the search system of Tik Tok and its affiliated products, and solving the architecture optimization problem of the search architecture system;

-Support the design and development of the search system , and the output core search capabilities of bytes and high-quality content to partners;-Focus on architecture abstraction and process optimization for search scenarios, support large-scale machine learning optimization;-Focus on large-scale systems with high concurrency and high throughput, improve system stability, performance, and scalability;-Research and development and optimization of core components, application and implementation of new technologies;-Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs;-Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis;-Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and directs software testing and validation procedures;-Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Computer Science, or related fields, with at least 1 year of experience building scalable systems;
-Experience in programming, included but not limited to, the following programming languages: C, C++, Java or Golang, C++ is a plus;
-Solid programming ability, excellent design and code style, enthusiastic about technical challenges;
-Effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive;
-Experienced in at least one area of the following areas: search engine, personalized recommendations, machine learning, distributed storage system, big data frameworks is a plus.
