Responsibilities:

About the Team: The Short Drama Team is a dynamic and forward-thinking team under Tik Tok. We are dedicated to curating, producing, and localizing high-quality short dramas that resonate with diverse global audiences. Our core mission is to bridge cultural gaps through engaging storytelling, bringing authentic and entertaining short drama content to Tik Tok users worldwide while empowering creators and driving the growth of the short drama ecosystem on the platform.

Responsibilities:

• Screen and pool screenwriters competent in writing English short drama scripts, and match suitable screenwriters according to themes and schedules.
• Review localized scripts, control the quality of lines, and ensure the high-quality presentation of stories.
• Cooperate with the production team, determine line revision plans during the preparation and script reading stages, and coordinate with screenwriters to make revisions efficiently.
• Analyze English short dramas with outstanding overseas market performance and explore trending content preferences in overseas markets.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s):

• Possess abundant resources of English-speaking screenwriters, and be able to judge the localization level of scripts and lines.
• Have strong content judgment, understand the creative models of both Chinese and English short dramas, and boast extensive viewing experience.
• Be proficient in English, with a good understanding of European and American pop culture and cultural taboos.

Preferred Qualification(s):

• Be earnest and pragmatic in work, with a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation.

Job InformationFor Pay Transparency Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $83600 - $192534 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
