Team Introduction
Tik Tok LIVE - Regional Operations (Japan) is dedicated to empowering a safe, authentic, and inclusive live streaming environment. Our mission is to provide the best real-time experience that fosters a sense of belonging, enriches real-life interactions, and unlocks diverse business and economic opportunities for our community. We are a team of highly motivated individuals who thrive in a culture of open discussion, leveraging both qualitative insights and quantitative data to drive growth.
Japan is one of Tik Tok LIVE's most strategically important markets, with a rapidly evolving creator ecosystem spanning individual creators, agencies, and emerging verticals such as music, virtual creators, and group LIVE.

Role Overview:

As an Operations Leader for Tik Tok LIVE Japan, you will own the strategy and delivery of a core business line within our regional operations — covering creator growth, campaign design, and revenue performance.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role. You will translate business targets into operational plans, lead a team of operations managers, and take end-to-end accountability for results. You are expected to move fluidly between setting direction and going deep into the data — diagnosing why a metric moved, designing the intervention, and validating whether it worked.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Strategy & Revenue Ownership
  • Own revenue targets for your business line; build the operating plan that connects targets to specific creator, content, and campaign levers
  • Break down quarterly and monthly goals into tier-level and segment-level plans, with clear leading indicators and accountability
  • Diagnose performance gaps and drive corrective action across the team and cross-functional partners
  • Creator Ecosystem Management
  • Design and operate tiered creator management frameworks that scale beyond one-to-one coverage
  • Build repeatable growth paths that move creators between tiers, improving both supply quality and retention
  • Establish long-term partnerships with high-value creators and agencies; provide strategic guidance that improves their business outcomes, not just their monthly numbers
  • Develop creator education, community, and fan-relationship programs that reduce dependence on short-term campaign stimulus
  • Campaign & Content Strategy
  • Design campaign portfolios across creator tiers, balancing revenue events, education events, and community-building events
  • Own campaign mechanics end to end: participation targets, mission design, gift structure, reward architecture, and post-campaign review
  • Set measurable objectives for every campaign and ensure disciplined recap — what worked, what did not, and what changes next time
  • Build reusable playbooks so that campaign quality does not depend on individual operators
  • Data Analysis & Decision Making
  • Define the metric framework for your business line and hold the team to it
  • Independently interrogate dashboards and raw data to locate the source of a problem, rather than relying on analyst summaries
  • Build and pressure-test target models; understand the assumptions behind a forecast and where they break
  • Use data to distinguish genuine operational impact from baseline movement — and to prove the incremental value of the team's work
  • Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of operations managers; build bench strength and raise the analytical standard of the team
  • Partner effectively with Product, Marketing, Data, Content Safety, and global counterparts to secure resources and align priorities
  • Represent your business line clearly to senior stakeholders — able to defend a plan with evidence and adjust when the evidence changes

Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in live streaming, content, or social platform operations.Demonstrated ownership of a revenue line, with a track record of hitting or credibly explaining performance against targets

  • Hands-on creator or talent management experience — you have personally managed creator relationships and understand what drives creator behavior, not only what the dashboard shows

  • Proven campaign or event design experience, with specific examples of campaigns you designed and the measurable outcomes they produced

  • Strong quantitative capability: comfortable building target models, defining metric frameworks, and working directly with data to reach a conclusion

  • Ability to set strategy and drive execution through others, while remaining willing to go into the detail yourself

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence cross-functional partners without direct authority

  • Business-level Japanese and English

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Japanese live streaming market, or at a comparable platform (Pococha, 17LIVE, IRIAM, SHOWROOM, or similar)

  • Experience working with agencies / MCNs and understanding of agency economics

  • Familiarity with recommendation algorithms and how content distribution affects creator outcomes

  • Track record of building operational SOPs or playbooks that were adopted beyond your own team

  • Experience in a vertical content category (music, virtual creators, gaming, or group LIVE)

  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with frequent priority changes
