Responsibilities

About the role:
Tik Tok's Partnerships Managers are responsible for building long-term partnerships with clients, to educate and inform them about commercial opportunities within Tik Tok. Our innovative advertising products are high-impact and engaging; we create a native experience for our users and develop deep connections with our brands.

This role is directly responsible for segmenting the market, identifying prospects, building relationships and helping clients drive business results on Tik Tok through consultation, education, and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prioritise, and secure business opportunities across SSA
  • Drive revenue for Tik Tok by seeking partnerships with direct clients
  • Use a consultative approach by offering strategic media solutions to clients
  • Create compelling sales propositions utilising internal and external data for respective regions
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams on structuring and executing operational and strategic initiatives-Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales, and services
  • Create persuasive sales presentations using market trends and case studies
  • Ensure that our clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service
  • Update clients on Tik Tok products and developments and educate clients and agencies on best practices

This role will be based in Johannesburg or Dubai.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in brand advertising, media sales, and/or online advertising experience
  • Strong experience and understanding of South Africa's economy.
  • Experience across the wider SSA market
  • Expert knowledge of social media, mobile apps, and digital and mobile marketing
  • Knowledge of performance media, auction, and biddable digital advertising buying
  • Proven performance winning the support of key stakeholders
  • Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Creative, outside-the-box thinker and strategist
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills-A team player and collaborator
  • Passion for Tik Tok marketing, and up for the challenge of building something from the bottom up
