Responsibilities
Our team is part of the Global e Commerce Strategy team. The e Commerce business unit is the growth engine for Tik Tok and works on high priority projects. Our team is based in London and is a part of the core business team for e Commerce across European markets. We are a cross-functional team, where you can learn, explore, and work with different business units including Creators, Merchants, and Agencies. The team has high visibility and owns the end-to-end strategy for incentives, supporting growth of our Creator, Merchant, and Agency ecosystems. We value transparency, trust, and efficiency.
- Resource Strategy: Partnering with business teams on strategic initiatives and allocation of Tik Tok e Commerce resources to achieve ambitious growth targets
- Insight Development: Rigorous research and analysis (both internal and external) to uncover insights and provide recommendations to the leadership team
- End-to-end Ownership: Working alongside business teams to implement and monitor our strategy, proposing future strategy directions and improvements
- Senior Stakeholder Management: Effective communication with key leaders; clear, concise, and structured proposals
- Global Collaboration: Working with regional teams and learning from strategies in different markets (such as the United States)
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s)
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a quantitative subject from a reputable university (such as mathematics, economics, engineering, statistics or other similar)
- 3+ years work experience in a top strategy consulting firm or related fields (e.g., Investment Banking, Corporate Strategy)
- Strong modelling and numerical reasoning skills and comfort working with large, complex data sets
- Exceptional communication and ability to manage senior stakeholders as well as cross-functional teams
- High level of ownership, with proven experience delivering analyses and projects autonomously to drive impact
Preferred Qualification(s)
- Experience in e Commerce or related industries (e.g., retail, consumer goods, tech)
- Experience working with Affiliates, Content Creators, or digital content
- Experience working in budgeting allocation and strategic initiative impact sizing
