Team Introduction:

The Tik Tok product team aims to realize the development of Byte Dance's international video business and build and maintain industry-leading products. This includes Live, local services, user growth, user products, author products, search products, business analysis and other core business scenarios to support the rapid development of products on the global track. It also includes service architecture, basic technology and other directions to ensure that the business continues to serve users with high quality, efficiency and security. These core business scenarios and directions, create value for all parties in Byte Dance ecology as well as making their daily life experience richer, more unique and more innovative.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2026. Internships at Tik Tok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at Tik Tok.

Internships at Tik Tok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. It runs for 12 weeks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects for mobile and web-based products and platforms.
  • Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative tools, platforms, and/or products.
  • Drive product development with teams of world-class engineers and designers, while maintaining team health.
  • Work closely with various teams to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups (design, legal, etc.), and guide the team through key milestones.
  • Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to improve engineer productivity and enhance user satisfaction.
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products. Identify and track key performance metrics.
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026
  • Foundational understanding of product management or product design, demonstrated through coursework, projects, or internships.
  • Experience analyzing data sets as part of academic projects, coursework, or internships, with the ability to draw insights and make data-informed recommendations.
  • Experience gathering and translating requirements through academic group projects or internships, with the ability to contribute to the development of product solutions.
  • Basic technical proficiency with analytical tools, methodologies, and design principles, gained through coursework, projects, or relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills demonstrated through presentations, group projects, or internships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience identifying significant opportunities, and driving product vision, strategies and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals.
  • Experience going through a full product life-cycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution.
  • Proven to be enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment in which the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
