The role of the Senior Associate with business title Operations Manager encompasses end-to-end supervisory responsibility of ascend process accomplished through various systematic, written, and verbal interactions with Operational Teams, Front Office and Middle Office Teams, as well as external teams like custodian bank, broker and . The primary focus of the position is timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts across multiple business lines, maintenance of the overall quality and accuracy of assigned processes, and preparation of ad hoc statistical reports.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor process and any associated applications daily to ensure all BAU is efficiently being catered
- Ensure issues are identified, addressed and highlighted/escalated on timely manner to meet the SLAs
- Maintain the relation with custodians and other external parties, as well as across multiple internal systems
- Upon identifying and analyzing exceptions, ensure necessary, corrective action is assigned to responsible parties, logged, and prioritized for resolution
- Interface with internal and external business teams to identify root cause of the BAU issues
- Coordinate preventive and corrective actions with appropriate teams
- Develop a significant level of expertise of the holdings, terms, and transactions of all Funds/Portfolios to provide intuitive and proactive oversight of same
- Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements
- Ensure all process and audit trail documentation is up-to-date at all times
- Identify, escalate and thereby proactively manage process/delivery risks
- Respond to numerous ad hoc requests from internal and external clients for additional information
- Monitor changes in business processes to ensure Reconciliation Tool and any associated applications are updated accordingly
- Assist in testing updates to Reconciliation Tool and any associated applications
- Maintain and provide timely and accurate MI of process performance and risk
- Assist with ad hoc duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
- University (Degree) Preferred

Project Management Responsibilities:
- Able to understand the business problems and work as face for Ops in all strategic or functional change projects.
- Writing the BRD, FRD, test cases Is desired but not mandatory to have
- Create a risk awareness, continuous improvement culture, training plans, competition, team engagement
- Build a learning environment in team and conduct trainings like process best practices, products to new joiners or existing staffs
- Lead the project from operations stand points and work closely with project stakeholders
- Pitch in and problem solver with self start orientation is must
- Keep the process Audit ready and work with Team leads to run the initiatives
- Capacity utilization, RCA, SOPs, SOWs, Transitions , process knowledge transfer are few assignment will be handled by this role.
- Strong FIN-TECH mindset who can study the process from transformation perspective

Options for rolling over a TIAA Traditional Annuity account
I worked for a Massachusetts-based university for a brief period of time in 2003-2004. The university’s retirement contributions were put into a TIAA CREF account and invested in TIAA’s Traditional Annuity.
