Sr Product Manager
The Senior Product Manager for the CIAM Platform is a senior individual contributor responsible for owning and shaping customer identity platform capabilities at an enterprise scale. This role defines product strategy, drives execution, and ensures CIAM capabilities enable secure, scalable, and consistent authentication and authorization experiences across consumer and B2B digital channels.
This position operates with high autonomy and influence, partnering closely with engineering, architecture, security, privacy, and business leaders to translate complex regulatory, technical, and customer requirements into durable platform solutions.
About the Role: Platform Strategy & Vision
- Own the product vision and roadmap for assigned CIAM platform domains, aligned with enterprise identity strategy and business priorities
- Define outcomes, success metrics, and value hypotheses for platform capabilities, balancing security, customer experience, scalability, and operational cost
- Proactively identify capability gaps, architectural risks, and future‑state opportunities within the CIAM ecosystem
·End‑to‑End Product Ownership
- Own CIAM platform capabilities from discovery through delivery and into operation, including lifecycle management and deprecation planning
- Maintain a strategic, outcome‑oriented backlog that balances new capabilities, technical modernization, regulatory needs, and operational resilience
- Make prioritization decisions across competing demands with minimal guidance, clearly articulating trade‑offs to stakeholders
·Technical & Architectural Leadership
- Partner deeply with CIAM engineering, enterprise architecture, and security teams to co‑design scalable, secure, API‑first solutions
- Act as a trusted product voice in architectural discussions, influencing design decisions without direct authority
- Ensure platform capabilities align with identity standards, integration patterns, security controls, and end‑to‑end customer journeys
·Stakeholder Leadership & Enablement
- Serve as a senior point of contact for product, digital, and onboarding teams integrating with CIAM
- Translate complex CIAM concepts into clear guidance, usage patterns, and platform contracts
- Drive alignment across multiple teams by setting clear expectations, communicating roadmap intent, and managing dependencies at scale
·Execution & Delivery Oversight
- Lead quarterly and incremental planning for CIAM platform workstreams, sequencing initiatives across multiple teams
- Ensure high‑quality delivery through strong backlog hygiene, clear acceptance criteria, and continuous collaboration with delivery teams
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks early, escalating with context and solution options when needed
- Operational Excellence & Risk Management
- Own key operational and reliability metrics for CIAM capabilities, using data to inform product decisions
- Partner with operations and support teams on incident response, root cause analysis, and preventative improvements
- Support change, incident, and executive communications with clear impact assessments and remediation plans About you:
Experience:
- 6–10 years of experience as a Product Manager working on complex, technical, or platform products
- Demonstrated experience owning shared platforms or services used by multiple downstream teams
- Proven ability to work effectively with engineering, architecture, security, and privacy stakeholders
- Experience operating in large‑scale, regulated, or enterprise environments
·Technical Expertise
- Strong working knowledge of APIs, web technologies, distributed systems, and system integrations
- Ability to engage deeply in technical discussions, evaluate trade‑offs, and influence architectural outcomes
- Experience working with delivery metrics, operational KPIs, and platform health indicators
·Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
·Core Competencies
- Executive‑level communication skills with the ability to influence without authority
- Strategic thinking combined with strong execution discipline
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information
- Highly organized, resilient, and effective in managing complex dependencies
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes, not just outputs
