Financial Analyst, Tax US & Canada

Join our team! and be responsible for maintaining accounts and records in various general and/or cost accounting functions.
Please notice that this is a ten-month temporary role.
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Financial Analyst you will:
- Gather the appropriate information for the taxes to be calculated
-Submit tax returns (preferable for US and Canada)
-Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
-Approve journal entries.
-Open items reporting, follow-up and escalation with various departments.
-Perform month responsibilities with a complete understanding of the tax and reconciliation process and the financial framework within an SAP environment to achieve complete, accurate and compliant tax returns and / or financial statements.
-Build and maintain collaborative relationships with partnering organizations by providing regular and frequent communications.
-Assist in monthly financial reporting; prepare analysis of accounts as requested.
-Assist in projects on process improvements from a tax perspective
-Provide training to other team members.
About You
You’re a fit for this role if your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required, OR equivalent qualification OR significant development after specialized vocational training OR substantial professional development after High School Degree.
- Advanced English proficiency is required both written and spoken. Candidates will be tested before setting up the first interview.
- Previous experience in US & Canada taxes is preferred
- At least 1- 3 years of professional accounting experience with multi-national companies.
- Knowledge of common accounting procedures.
- Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills with a competence in presenting in a professional and influential manner.
- Attention to fine detail and demonstrate high-level of accuracy.
- Enterprise resource planning ERP software — for example, SAP, Oracle, BEx, Black Line.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Strong collaboration skills and effective in a team environment; proven ability to effectively transfer knowledge to build team competence.
