DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Inside Sales Representative and be part of our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. In this role, you'll generate sales growth through virtual and digital channels while building strong relationships with customers across academic, biotech, pharma, clinical and industrial markets. You'll promote and sell our comprehensive portfolio of scientific products and services, using consultative selling skills to understand customer needs and provide optimal solutions. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll develop and execute strategic sales plans, manage customer relationships through our CRM system, and partner with cross-functional teams to achieve business targets. Location:Office based role in Paisley, Glasgow
Key responsibilities:
- Take ownership of your territory. You plan activities to increase your customers awareness, project and measure your territories progress and be accountable for the results. You are the CEO of your territory
- Connect with customers and key distributors proactively to consult them on our products and create business leads in your market territory. Convert your leads into sales to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan
- Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns, special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate selling skills
- Maintain and increase the current customer database through customer relations management software (CRM)
- Master and implement our AI tools in supporting you in driving efficiency
- Implement and share your creativity with your team and broader audience
REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate Degree in a relevant field, sales and/or laboratory/research experience preferred
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding goals and targets
- Strong consultative selling and relationship building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to develop and maintain deep product and technical knowledge
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective at working both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Ability to travel 10-25% for customer meetings and internal events
- Valid driver's license preferable
- Must be located within a commutable distance to the office

- Experience with scientific products/instruments preferred
