DESCRIPTION:

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Financial Analyst I, where you'll contribute to financial excellence and business growth. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and insights that support strategic decision-making. As part of our FSP Operations Finance team, you'll help manage monthly closing process for 20-30 projects, develop project forecasts, analyze program GPs, and prepare monthly program reviews. REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree required, no prior experience required in financial analysis in a corporate environment
• Preferred Fields of Study: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field
• Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with financial systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills for collaborating in a matrix environment
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines
• Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and process improvement mindset
• Strong organizational skills
• Business fluency in English; additional languages may be required for specific locations
• Ability to manage and analyze large datasets
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools preferred
