- Provide technical support for Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry instruments (approximately 80% of role focus)
- Deliver a high standard of customer service, ensuring a positive customer experience and long-term relationships
- Troubleshoot and escalate technical issues effectively to ensure timely resolution of critical problems
- Promote Thermo Fisher Scientific’s products and services by identifying customer needs and logging sales leads (approx. 5%)
- Plan and coordinate service activities in collaboration with dispatch, team leaders, and management (approx. 5%)
- Maintain and manage company assets, including tools, test equipment, IT equipment, and company vehicle (approx. 5%)
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, including service reports and expense submissions (approx. 5%)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline
- 1–3 years’ experience servicing analytical instrumentation, or equivalent experience as an application specialist or end user
- Knowledge of Mass Spectrometry, Liquid Chromatography, or Gas Chromatography is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in standard IT systems and tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel extensively (Monday–Friday) with occasional overnight stays
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary, annual bonus, and company car
- Comprehensive benefits package (dependent on country of hire)
- Excellent career development and progression opportunities within a global organization
