DESCRIPTION:

Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Manufacturing Engineer II, where you'll contribute to excellence in production processes and equipment optimization. In this role, you'll work across functions to ensure high-quality manufacturing operations while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll manage technical projects, implement process improvements, and provide essential support to manufacturing operations. REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced Degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in regulated industries (pharmaceutical, medical device, or similar)
• Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical) or related technical field
• Professional certifications in manufacturing, quality systems, or process improvement methodologies are beneficial
• Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards (9001, 13485), and FDA regulations
• Experience with process validation, equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and technical documentation
• Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PPI)
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control tools
• Experience in project management and cross-functional team collaboration
• Experience with manufacturing equipment troubleshooting and optimization
• Strong problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making approach
• Advanced proficiency in technical software (CAD, statistical analysis tools, MS Office)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages beneficial
• Ability to work in cleanroom environments and follow strict quality protocols
• Experience with automated production systems and process control
• Experience training and supporting technical staff
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support manufacturing operations
