Job Title: Sr. Genetic Analysis Sales Specialist – London Area Position Summary:

The Sales Representative is responsible for the promotion and revenue growth of the full Sanger Sequencing as well as qPCR and digital PCR workflows (including Instruments & Consumables) in line with promotion of Thermo Fisher Scientific as the technology leader in Genetic Analysis Solutions. The applicant will work closely with the Account Managers, Inside Sales and Fisher Scientific sales force in their territory with the objective of growing profits and market share for the Thermo Fisher Life Science Solution Group.

Activities will include:

  • sales visits
  • territory planning
  • monitoring sales performance
  • accurate forecasting
  • organization of scientific seminars and conferences
  • Responsibilities will also include establishing strategic business plans in line with local managers

Experience

  • MSc or equivalent experience in Life Science
  • Ideally a few years sales experience in the Life Sciences Industry
  • Excellent presentation and confident communication skills
  • Process oriented with attention to details
  • Collaboration oriented with collaborative style

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Must be flexible and willing to travel between 50- 80% in his / her territory to complete his / her duties

  • Requires understanding of commonly used Sanger Sequencing, qPCR and digital PCR methods

  • Solution Selling and Key Account Management skills

  • Outstanding problem solving and communication skills

  • Shown written and verbal communication

  • Clear vision of, and dedication to, providing outstanding customer experience

  • Dedication to contributions as a team member in a fast-paced, innovative and very complex field

  • Must be self-directed and self-motivated to work at a highly technical level

  • Must be proficient in English, both verbal and written

  • Driving License
