Join our colleagues in bringing our Mission to life every single day to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer.

Position Summary:

The Incident Response Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating the response to cybersecurity incidents that threaten the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of company data and systems. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including IT, legal, and corporate communications, to ensure effective incident management and resolution.

Our mission is to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Thermo Fisher Scientific's information and computer systems through a structured, risk-based, and adaptive incident response program. We are committed to minimizing the impact of incidents on our company, shareholders, employees, customers, and partners by continuously evolving our practices.

We embrace a growth mindset—viewing every incident as an opportunity to learn, improve, and strengthen our defenses. By capturing lessons from real-world crises, we inform our teams and leadership with actionable insights that drive resilience, innovation, and strategic alignment. Our team fosters cross-functional collaboration, champions continuous improvement, and upholds the highest standards of security and compliance to protect our digital assets and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Management: Lead the investigation, containment, recovery, and remediation of cybersecurity incidents. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a timely and effective response.

  • Training and Awareness: Conduct periodic incident response scenario exercises to raise awareness of current threats and risks. Provide training to incident response personnel on their roles and responsibilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Review and update the Incident Response Plan (IRP) regularly to keep it current with business needs and technology changes. Identify and implement improvements based on post-incident reviews and lessons learned.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Corporate Incident Response Team (CIRT) and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response to incidents. Engage with law enforcement and external providers as necessary.
