Position Summary

This position is pivotal to expanding Thermo Fisher Scientific Korea’s AI-Automation business being responsible for securing customers’ investment capacity by leveraging government support programs, policy-driven financing, private investment institutions, and biopharma- and AI-focused funds, thereby accelerating the adoption of AI-Automation solutions. The role also involves close collaboration with internal AI-Automation business teams to develop customer-specific funding strategies and contribute to business model development.

What will you do?1.Government & Public Funding Programs Alignment

• Identify and match relevant government support programs, R&D grants, and automation investment initiatives offered by ministries such as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), and Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW), as well as related public agencies
• Evaluate and recommend suitable funding and investment programs for customer projects to secure new financial resources

Collaboration with AI-Automation Business Team:

• Work closely with sales teams to assess customers’ purchasing conditions and propose strategies to overcome financial barriers and investment constraints

3. Market, Policy & Investment Trend Analysis (FP&A Scope)

• Analyze investment trends across AI automation, biopharma, smart factory, and laboratory automation markets
• Continuously monitor government budgets, funding trends of investment institutions, and capital deployment patterns by industry

Required Skills & Experience:

• Industry Experience:

5+ years driving sales in Life Sciences, Automation, Digital Transformation, or Lab Solutions.

• Technical Sales:

Deep experience with automation systems, AI Digital solutions, and SaaS platforms.

• Solution Selling:

Ability to identify customer challenges and deliver high-value, tech-driven proposals.

• Leadership & Collaboration:

Proven history of leading projects within a matrix organization and cross-functional environment.

• Soft Skills:

Exceptional presenter and communicator with a logical, problem-solving mindset and high personal drive.

Desirable Skills:

• Strong existing network in the Korean AI Automation or Biotech market.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Informatics (LIMS/ELN) and robotics.
• English language proficiency.
• Prior experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific or competitor portfolios.
